Karunaikadal is the resident house of the friars who run the Udhayam Polytechnic College and Boys’ Hostel. It was blessed and inaugurated on 25th November 2006 as the construction for polytechnic College was on. The Friars of Karunaikadal besides being busy in their college administration extend spiritual support to the neighbouring parishes in the island of Rameswaram.
